Scene Discussion: Smashing Pumpkins - ‘Ava Adore’ (1998)

My favorite music video since my youth, and I’m not even a Pumpkins fan (not specifically). Filmed in one take, the performers and crew had to compensate for speed changes during the shoot, allowing the end result to undergo time manipulation while the flow of the camera and lip-syncing band appear to remain consistent. The movie sets within give nods to such films as ‘THX-1138’, ‘Nosferatu’, ‘Caligula’, and ‘A Clockwork Orange’. Breaks the fourth wall and ends in an old theater, retracting right back into the screen.
