I’m composed of different tissues that combine to make different body systems, such as my heart and lungs. Other systems such as my skeletal system or digestive system work in groups to keep myself from dying. My body varies a little as it does from person to person, not only in the visible aspects of size and shape but also in the placement of my internal organs. My body however does follow the general pattern. No part of it works in isolation; each part does its job, day and night, supported and aided by my other organs. It’s all very co-operative even though I sometimes am not.
One of these organs is my brain, which is the center of my nervous system. I keep this enclosed in my cranium, it has frontal lobes which I use for things like planning, reasoning, or abstract thought. There’s a large part of my brain which I’ve set aside for vision, which I use for things like watching movies, navigation, and even browsing this website. I’ll usually use the left hemisphere for language, which sometimes gets me in trouble.
I also use my brain to analyze and repeat psychological patterns. Everyone uses their brain for this I’m sure, though I assume these patterns register differently for everyone. Based on these patterns, my brain sets these ‘traits’ which together make a personality, which also differs for everyone. I find that sometimes my brain works in a similar fashion to other’s, but also sometimes differently.
I feel like I’ve revealed a bit much, but we’re all friends here.
